About the Atlas Rating System
A strength classification tool designed to fairly evaluate your performance across different lifts, body types, ages, and sexes.
Revolutionary Strength Assessment
Atlas Rating System is a strength classification tool, designed to fairly evaluate your performance across different lifts, body types, ages, and sexes. We introduce a new layer of depth and accuracy to performance measurement — powered by our custom ELO-like algorithm.
Our Mission
Our goal: provide data-driven, bias-free, and globally comparable strength feedback for every kind of lifter — whether you're a powerlifter, CrossFitter, athlete, or weekend warrior.
How It Works Behind the Scenes
Our sophisticated system operates through several key mechanisms:
- Normalizes performance across key compound lifts (e.g. squat, deadlift, bench, pull-up, overhead press)
- Accounts for bodyweight, age, sex, and lift type
- Uses classification thresholds dynamically derived from real-world performance data
- Ranks lifters on an Atlas Rating Curve — our version of a global ELO system
All calculations run securely server-side using our API — nothing is stored, and no account is required.
Important Disclaimer
While our Atlas Rating System provides valuable insights into your strength performance, it's important to take these results with a grain of salt. Individual factors such as genetics, training history, biomechanics, and personal circumstances can significantly impact your lifting performance. This tool should be used as a helpful reference point rather than an absolute measure of your abilities or potential. Always consult with qualified professionals for personalized training and health advice.
